Hey all!
Finally got her wet yesterday and just got back tonite. Unfortunately, I see that the screens on my camper top are about done, along with the plastic glass. The admiral advised she can fix - and now I searching frantically for camper top screen material. I use Rochford Supply for everything else; they don't have screen.

Anyone out there have a source for this stuff, or any ideas where I can pick it up in the Western NY area?

Thanks, and Happy Boating!

I don't know if you have solved this mystery yet but I order from Sailrite. They are a great(if not the only) DIY supplier. The screen you want to use is the Phifertex. Good luck.

Why not some of the nylon stuff from Lowes or Home Depot?

I'm not sure if this was aimed at me or just a suggestion for the OP. You could use that screening but it is lightweight and I find it doesn't hold its shape as well as the Phifertex. Phifertex holds tension well so you can have a tight fit. I find it more attractive as its thicker and more pronounced. It is the preferred screening material of any high end custom canvas shop. It's about $13 per yard and comes in standard 54" width which makes it more expensive than a standard window screen but you get what you pay for.

Just throwing it out there for discussion... thanks for the insight!

Hi Guys, well, after a few weeks of boating hell, I'm finally able to find the time to get online. I found some screen material from a company called ameri-brand products (websweeper.com) after searching around. At the time, I never even thought about sailrite. The stuff I picked up looks like the phifertex stuff, and boy does it look GREAT! It's certainly alot better than the old "screen door" material that was on there. As far as the boat hell part, I blew a shifter cable and had to get towed in - 300 feet from my dock, thank God. Then there was the coast guard boarding for a safety check, then the absolute WORST NIGHTMARE you could possible endure: A blown fuse for the stereo and no spare. Anywhere. Nowhere. Nothing. Now I have 10 spares :)

Anyhow, hauling out today at 11, be back in by Monday.

Happy Boating!
