Scratches On E120 Display

Has anyone tried any products on the Raymarine display to remove the scratches? If they can be refinished is it a big issue to replace that top screen?

I had some luck wet sanding scratches using 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper and polishing it with CD scratch removal paste from radio shack
you could also rub in and wipe dry clear silicone. it will only hide scratches, but may look good enough
