A friend of mine has a SC5000 System View and the Backlight is no longer functioning. The brightness adjustment does nothing. Is there any known way to repair these units or is there a source out there that repairs them?? Or does he need to just replace it?

Thanks
Jason

I'm having backlight issues too. It appears that the SC5000 has two bulbs and one of mine is out. The other is pretty dim and I would like to get them both working. Any ideas?

I think it's just time to get rid of the boat instead. Just tell Benny that he would look good behind the wheel of a new FLY.

By all accounts the lights are not user replaceable and replacement of the unit is the only fix. I am not saying someone with electronics knowledge and the right tools could not replace them somehow but basically the unit was designed to be replaced when the bulbs go.

I agree. I already switched him out to a Vessel View in late 2012 but still trying to get him to buy a new boat anyway!!
