SC1000 LCD repair

Anyone know of a place that repairs the LCD screens on boat gauges? I have an SC1000 that the screen is almost burned out and can barely be read. I've scoured the internet for a replacement gauge but I can't find any.

Well, I bought my boat 3 months ago, and I`m facing the same problem.
I barely can see the symbols on the LCD. It`s only possible at evening. And I have a lens crack in one of my gauges.

The autor said how install the new lens and the LCD, but he removed these itens from used gauges.
I googled the type of LCD. It`s called by HLM7447, made by HOSIDEN, but I didn`t have sucess to find then.
As I`m electrical engineer and electronics technician I resolved install new ones but I`ll keep the old ones regarding order to a chinese LCD manufacturer to develop an LCD without this Sun Dim wear problem.
Once I have installed and testes the LCDs by 6 months I`ll offer it to another persons which don`t want to pay a litlle fortune on these gauges.
After discover the LCD repair I`ll search for lens manufacturers.
