You may have noticed the web address on the bottom of my signature. My buddies started a beer company with the profits aimed at helping to preserve our Minnesota waterways. They have started to get some pub. If you are in the area pick up a few.

Drink a Beer, Save a Lake: Minnetonka Beer Company Wages War on Invasive Species

Saving your favorite Minnesota lake from Zebra Mussels and other invasive species is now as simple as drinking a beer.
Three Minnesota guys have started a new beer company where all the money will go to protecting the water.
Drink a beer, save a lake... that's their concept.
The three grew up on or near lakes in Minnesota and still enjoy the activities so many of us do, swimming, boating, water-skiing, so they're taking initiative to help save our lakes.
They launched their first beer this spring, it's called Big Island Shandy.
It's already sold at more than 100 liquor stores throughout the state and at several local restaurants including Lord Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka.
All the profits raised through the sale of the beer will go directly to the Save-Our-Lakes organization, a non-profit formed to raise awareness and fund initiatives to fight invasive species.
They hope to bring in 10-thousand dollars this year, and double that next year.
The guys are hard at work on their second beer, next on the market will be Preservation IPA, an India Pale Ale due out in August.:smt038

That's cool of them to that. .. I hope they have great success. :smt001

Well, I'm sure I know where the name came from! I will have to look for this stuff. I go to Fletchers weekly too, so I'll have to get some there.
