Savannah Ga Boat show

The Savannah Boat show really was not worth the effort this year, SeaRay was the only one with cruiser type boats and the largest they had was a 310 Sundancer, 290, 270, 240, the rest were Sundecks, several Selects, and bowriders, the rest of the display was fishing boats from 13' to 29', a few toons, one small jet ski display, no boats in the water, no boats on the grounds out on the parking lot side of the building, and a few outside on the river side of the building, even the vendor displays were thin compared to previous years. I took a few photos which I have loaded into Photobucket, there is a lot of bare floor inside of the building that has always been covered by boats. Below is a link to the photos, a couple are fuzzy but I left them in anyway.

Thanks for sharring! Sure am Glad I did not drive down for it. Looks like the kids had a good time getting the face painted.(Grin)

The kids did enjoy, they even thought the boat show was nice, their first time. If you noticed the open floor area in the pics of the kids, it was like that all around, there was at least 20' all the way across the back wall that was wide open. Lets hope that it will build up next year.

Glad I did not make the run down there too! Is that show typically bigger than Atlanta??

It would have been a waste and you would have been real disappointed. I went to the Atlanta show this year, my first, our show had built to what Atlanta had this year maybe a little more. This year was not even half of what has been here. Most of the vendors were local, Merc did not have a display this year, Volvo was here, the local Cummins distributor did not set up a display, Cat and Detroit/Yanmar both were in the show and both local. A lot of the local vendors did not show this year. I guess you could say it fit in with the current state of economy.
