What's the best route for the ant wire into the boat-what has to be removed and reinstalled to do this and where is a good place to put the receiver?

This may help you.

How to run cable wire from cabin to cockpit on 320DA?

how about cockpit to cabin-from the arch to the cabin? What route should be the cleanest and where to put the box?

from cockpit to the cabin is pretty easy task. See the this image:

I haven't done arch to the cockpit, but I'm pretty sure it's not a big deal. BTW, have you consider using the cable that goes from Glomax (it'll be useless anyway)? If for whatever reason you want to keep the glomax active you can follow the cable. I just know that the hardest part is where the arch meets the cockpit. The holes are not very large, but if you can access it from ER then you'll be able to catch the snake at the top part of the arch. Another approach is to remove the side pannel, which clis on to the arch.

how about once in the cabin-I'll assume that I'll be behind the salon tv-where did you put the sat. box?

I don't know if you seen this in my write-up, but I think the following answers your question:

" So, I gave up and ran a new line from cabin TV splitter (by the berth where the Glomax switch is) all the way to the cockpit on the port side. My initial approach was to run it along the port side, but I found that everything was sealed between the cabin (actually behind the medicine cabinet in the head) and the cockpit or ER. So, I didn't want to drill any wholes and decided to use a little extra wire and run it via starboard side. So, the main legs were from port side via under the berth to the strbrd side (very easy), I got the wire by opening the zipper in the upper storage cabinet. The next one was from there to the cabinet that has small access plate in its top panel (this one was also easy). Here comes the hardest part, from this access panel to the control panel (I had to take out the 12DC main panel to have access behind it). This one was tough one, b/c while the snake runs along the AC dock it’s not reachable by hand, so I had to use another piece of wire to catch the snake. From the control panel the next leg was to get the wire to the helm, which is very easy and short run to the access space behind the speaker panel at the helm. From there you have to run it to the ER, the wire will exit right above the batteries."

My DirectTV box is located on the port side shelf right next to the retractible TV by the forward berth.

Thanks for the info-I'm going to the boat on Monday for a week and will be checking out what you have said-I'll be looking hard at how this is going to lay out-in the end I'll be hiring this job out but I always want to have some knowledge. The temp. at the lake today was 103/73-water temp-80-Sept-Oct-the best at Lake Mead!

Have fun and let us know how it works out.

Good luck,
Alex.

Thanks-is that a custom camper design on your boat? It looks great-Did you have that done locally or from Taylor Made Products?

My camper is custom made by very good company in FL. Taylor won't be able to make this. They have some basic camper which is way cheaper and not as good. But, it's all about the personal preferences.

Looks great-we have a guy out in Vegas that does this type of work-has quoted a price about 3K-with the smilies and the works-sound about right to you?

$3K is very cheap for canvas like mine. It sounds too good to be true. It's all about the quality.

I had to replace my front pannels and brought to the local shop that was referred to do the u-zippers. The guy charged my a fortune and compare to FL company the quality was not good, but just acceptible.

If you decide to go with the camper make sure to use reputable company.

thanks for the advice-It's a project for next year-be safe out there-I'll let you know on how the satellite install goes
