Sanding Nuteak or Flexiteek?

Has anyone sanded to remove stains?
I have boat polish that got on it and no amount of washing with a pressure washer has removed it.
The manufacturer recommends sanding it. Has anyone tried it and how were the results?

Yes, I sanded a small area on my 2008 280DA when I had it and it worked out just fine. The sanded area will be lighter but will darken as it gets weathered and will blend back in over time. Don't be too aggressive and use a sanding block to avoid creating a pit. Use easy strokes until the stain is removed.

Thanks, I saved a small area using a sanding block. I was surprised how uneven the swim platform actually was. It lightened it up a fair bit but I glad to hear it will darken up quickly. I have more to do but wanted to see how this area turns out.
