Since a 220 has very little storage space I am wondering other than getting another anchor and storing it under the seat has anyone used the other sand anchoring devices?

Usually I tie off to a tree but not always available

Thanks
Jack

A dog tie-out - one of those twisty/curly things works great. Careful, though, it'll probably cost a good $5! :smt001

The currents are strong where I boat, I don't think they would hold

It depends, somewhat, on what you're digging in to. You won't know for sure unless you try it. However, you could always just use a small fluke anchor.

If its very rare you won't have a tree, you can just use anything you can tie off to. Dig a sufficiently deep hole, tie your line around an object (pref big enough to grab hold) and then bury the line and object in the hole. Its an old 4 wheeling trick for getting an anchor to pull yourself out on. A bit "ghetto" but if you donthave room for another anchor and will only use it very rarely, it could be worth trying.
