We're looking at spending at least a week in the San Juans again this summer. Probably the last full week of July. If I can get two weeks off we'll continue that into the next week. Anybody else planning a cruise in the Juans?

I'll keep you posted. We still haven't sat down with the calendar yet.

We're planning to trailer up for a week as well. Probably late July or early August. Tentatively we'll launch at Olympia and explore the South Sound for a day or two, drop off the Kids in Tacoma then head North.

If you are trailering up from Vancouver, I would suggest you launch at Port Townsend (Boat Haven launch). The yearly cost is $30 and includes all the launch and recovery plus they watch your rig while away. There is a Safeway gas station 100 ft away and a West Marine 1/2 block away also. Its about 1-1.5 hours to Friday Harbor from there...

We are heading up about 1 or 2 July and then on 5 July heading to Roche for fuel then onto Victoria and then Brentwood Bay for Buchart Gardens then into the Gulf Islands for a while... Not sure how long we will stay... last year we stayed out about 3 weeks before we came home... Check into IBoatNW for any updates and details... and we don't care who the maker is of your boat...

At the boat show yesterday we bought a Gulf Islands only book and intend to hit many places there...
