Well, we have been on San Francisco Bay for a week and head to Sausalito today for a fuel top off then out under the Golden Gate Bridge and South to Monterey. I actually worked last week so I don't have too many photos yet, but will be taking more on the next legs of the trip. Hopefully the seas will be kind to us!

Beautiful area to boat, and wonder around.

What is the water temp in the bay these days?

Low 60's near the gate and up to about 70 in Jack London Square.

Great pics the Bay Area is one of my favorite places to visit some of the prettiest scenery in the world. Hope the seas stay calm for you.

Great ride, pretty good seas, lots of whales and dolphins and otters and sea lions and nice warm weather

Re: San Fracisco to Monterey

So... I started over to the fuel dock and noticed I had no water coming out of my starboard exhaust. Opened the hatch to find 6" of water and a tripped bilge pump breaker! Cleared the water out and found the impeller cover plate with a big hole in it! Going in right now to replace the pump. My friend got me all of the parts and his wife drove them down just now (a 3 hour drive). I am blessed to have such friends!

Some more pics...

Rough ride out of Monterey but laid down wonderfully before making the gate!

Re: San Fracisco to Monterey

Update on the raw water pump. All I can say is that it was a learning experience to replace the starboard pump, especially while on vacation. I removed the starboard exhaust, the rail that supports the main hatch and small starboard side hatch (along with the cables it supports) and the 2X4 vertical deck support from the stringer to the deck. Once those are removed, I was able to actually get to the pump. The 2 main bolts are 18 mm so make sure you add those wrenches to your tool kit! 6 hours later, I have a new pump.

We came back to our marina on Friday so I replaced the port side raw water pump. In and out in 2 1/2 hours! Cleaned up, painted and tested. Now I am ready for my next trip this Friday.
