I am heading down to San Diego next weekend. Any CSR members down there want to give me any tips on where to go (other than rent a boat and hit the water)? I wish I could drag my 320 down there but that's a bit much. I do love watching the boats on that beautiful bay though!

We will be in the new Hilton right on the water. At least the weather looks like it's heading back to the high 60's or low 70's!!!!!!!

The Field is the best Irish bar in the Gas Lamp District and one of my favorites. San Diego is boaters paradise. I bring my boat down there once a year or so.

Just noticed you are from the bay area. The Field is similar to the Plough and Stars on Clement and 2nd, in the city and O'Reilly's, next to Beach Blanket Babylon.

I spent a WEEK in the Gas Lamp District

Those are good! I'll be looking for decent places for dinner too since I will have the wife along...

Mission beach, Pacific Beach and/or Ocean Beach - all awesome places. PB and OB are more for the younger crowd - laid back, partying lifestyle. MB has a nice boardwalk on the beach

Also, check out Coronado Island and Point Loma. Point Loma is a cool place to see - you get a great view of SD and the harbor from there. There is also a cemetery there that is super old

I miss SD

Enjoy,
Chris

I've been there before but always short trips. I drove all around from Del Mar, La Jolla :)thumbsup:), Coronado, etc. I am looking to hang around town, eat, stare longingly at the boats and relax. just hoping for a few eatery names. I did contact a sales rep that wants to do work with me and hinted I would be in town (is that whoring?). Of course he wants to do anything (within reason) for me I want! I wonder if he has friends with boats?
