I had a Furuno plotter die over the winter and there is no support for this model any longer. I replaced it with a Raymarine e127. The Samsung Galaxy was a rebate from Raymarine. We use iPads and I don't want to have to learn another system, so we'd like to sell the Android to someone who can use it. It is new, still in the box, unsealed and the tamper stickers are still in place, so you can register the warranty and activate it as a new purchaser. Street prices are abound $200 plus tax and shipping, and we'll take $175 for this one, no tax and you pay the postage.

Funny. I was just playing around with the one that I received with my e125 yesterday. It's not an apple, that's for sure, but for $175 it's a good deal for someone who doesn't want to shell out the $800 for an iPad.

Seriously good deal if anyone is even thinking about one. I bought my wife the 10.2" version for Christmas, (she unknowingly bought me an IPad). If I didn't have these two, Franks would be mine.

Yes it can............

I loaded the ap on my iPad and it really does double as a second screen. You can window the main screen and navigate on the ipad, look at te bottom on the ipad while setting up a harbor entrance on the e127 touch screen. The Samsung works the same way, I just prefer to stay with an iPad because I 1/2 (!) way understand it.

Hey Frank!
i have an iPad that I love and am interested in what you are doing.
I have a classic series C80 and E80 on my boat. The raymarine App info says it will work with c and e80 s with a software upgrade
1: how do I upgrade the software?
2: how does the iPad or android connect to the raymarines? Wired or if wireless does it need an additional something like wifi or Bluetooth- neither of mine has these.

oops, never mind.... Just re- read the raymarine app, it says communicates thru wifi which mine don't have.
Still, how do you get software upgrades into these??

On the C Series you have to laod the upgrades onto a small memeory card. Small meaning very little storage capability. I had to buy mine online since all the stores only have huge capacity storage cards. Don't ask me why but Raymarines website states that a small memory card is the only ones that will work. Once you have the card loaded to insert it into your C80 and follow the steps to download. All information can be found on Raymarines website including the updated software. All free too.

But, do the C and E series equipment have wifi capability? I am not familiar with them and don't know.

We added an e127 MFD which comes with its own wifi onboard. IT communicates with the iPhone and iPad, just like a wifi system at home........i.e. identify the network then enter your password and you are up and running if you have the Raymarine aps.
