Being some are frozen in, thought I would share some boating pic's I have taken the past year or so.

IMG_0469.JPG might as well be Kryptonite to this Florida boy

IMG_0198.JPG yep, another day another boarding. I explain the USCG as a hemorrhoid that I do not mind having. They are a pain in my backside for sure, but I'm damn sure am glad they're there. Nobody else going out to save you when it hits the fan. Hats off to those folks !

Wonderful pictures - enjoyed looking through them on a snowy cold morning.

What was the location of the picture with snow?

Stay warm Captain

And, I'm stuck in Tennessee under 6" of ice and snow begging my diesel pickup to hurry up and let the block heaters do their job where I can get going for the first time away from home in a week. At least I've gotten a head start on my income taxes!

I guess you have a "check list" of things that must be on or current with the boats you are moving? I assume as Capt. you will be cited if they really dig in and find things not compliant; right?
Tom

You're right Tom....I brought one back from the Bahamas a couple years ago that was plumb full of stuff...I was almost hoping to get boarded, but would have started crying saying I am nothing but the captain.

I do prefer new boat deliveries because it's just me and my mate with nothing on board. Bringing a new 55 Galeon up to North Palm from Miami Beach on Saturday. Mother Ocean is 5 footers out of the north, dang it!.....so here we will go up the creek at 5mph, Lordy.

You guys in Dallas are getting blanketed Mark, what the heck??

Been a rough week. Big issue been the cold temps. Looks like we are getting past it.

As it is the guys on this thread who I enjoy showing the most. I know FW noticed, but to you other hard core Sea Ray dudes, this thread was blessed by the face of the brand today. I laughed when I saw "new member" under her picture, as I remember the first Yacht Expo in Florida that I met her (whom I am sure forgot this factory guy within five walking steps away). Calling her a new member to Sea Ray is like me using a high school picture on a business card, yeah right…. Ms. Shelby Kirby is responsible for everything you see, or read, or hear about when it comes to Sea Ray Boats. She began as an assistant to the assistant, blah blah but stayed the course and made headway, especially when some thought the ship was taking on water....it is not!

Not only has Shelby helped turn the tide in excitement for the brand but did so after battling strong consumer headwinds when the company decided to step aside from big boats. Every previous boat show for years and years, had owners gathering on the dock sharing SR stories with not a bummer word to be said. The last couple years had Shelby facing the fire and defending the brand with the few disgruntled owners. Could you imagine being in charge of all Marketing at Harley Davidson, And one day your boss tells you HD has decided to only build Mopeds from here on, no more big bikes....and you are responsible for holding market share with steady growth, good luck!...but that is exactly what Shelby and her team have done! (take note Harley)

My company stock has showed strength, and better yet, I am seeing a lot of my former co-works and friends building boats! Yacht builders now doing 370 and 400’s, I bet they’re tougher than train smoke! Nice looking boats and steady growth? Some one in that company has their (her) finger on the pulse.

Shelby......on this one page above is the round table of senior brand advocates and a brain trust of way more than boats! These are the guys I call on for all my problems, results every time. Rolodex them, I did years ago!

In your honor here are some pictures of yours and my legacy... with the notion that things are only getting wetter for everyone! Go Sea Ray!

Can't believe all the cold stuff Mark, snow on Padre Island, wtf? I do believe FLA is about the only one where things are reasonable. I measure by what I wear and today was baggies and a t-shirt so I think we'll make it. And you well know a Floridian CAN NOT drive in snow or ice so hope things thaw soon!

copb8tx...pool Heck, sounds like you have an Ice Rink

And here I thought that I had already met the primo ambassador of the Sea Ray brand.
Ms Shelby, I'm so glad that you're here and you've certainly got your hands full managing a brand that has a lot to figure out.

Must have just missed you in Tobermory, boss.
You are correct, it's Sea Ray country.

Rusty,

Thank you for the kind words. I have to say, despite some unexpected adventures along the way, it is a dream job made possible by incredible owners like those here on CSR. You are correct, I'm not technically "new" as I'm heading into my 9th year with the brand. I've been connected to CSR through a few people, including the good Captain Rusty. In fact, I was able to attend one of my favorite owner events back in 2017 hosted by this group, in Atlantic City. The event was tremendous and I hope this group can get back to large group outings again very soon. A couple of pics from Atlantic City 2017.
