Running w/ Underwater lights on?

I have blue UW lights and have been stopped in Tampa Bay while running with them on. They didn't say anything but I bet their attention was drawn to my boat becasue they were on. I run with them off now.

I have Aquatic LED underwater lights on my transom that I always run while underway. I usually have it set so it fades in and out of different colors. I love the way the wake looks. I've never had an issue from CG and I've passed plenty of them. Maybe if they were white, they would have stopped me.

Regardless if they've stopped you for it in the past, it's "officially" illegal. Just depends on the guys/gals on the CG boat and whether or not they want to pull you over.
