I have a 2004 Sea Ray 340 Sundancer that I've owned for about a year and a half. I just took the boat out for the first ride in 2018 and noticed that both my Auto Pilot and my SmartCraft no longer show the rudder position - which worked fine since I've owned the boat. I have a Raymarine Auto Pilot that is connected to the SmartCraft via SeaTalk. I assume there is a sensor that the SmartCraft transmits to the Auto Pilot. Today the Auto Pilot just doesn't show the rudder position at all, as if that feature doesn't exist. So I then turned to the SmartCraft page that shows the rudder position and it just shows 0 degrees no matter what the rudder position is in. So I'm assuming the sensor got knocked out somehow. With that said, I did drop the rudders this spring and replaced the packing. I don't see any wires/sensors connected to the rudders - the only wires are grounds. Does anyone have any idea where or what I can check to see how to correct this? Everything else on the boat works perfectly - all circuit breakers are good. Appreciate any insight!
