All,

I've been considering a rudder indicator for my 280 Sundancer.

Can someone recommend a good reliable one? They range from $20 (junk) to over $400. I could stand up to $200 for a good one if I could find one. A search doesn't show much, and very few reviews.

How about install issues?

Thx

I was thinking about one of these but after reading the reviews it seems worthless. The major concern was it needed readjustment after each time it was used.

My raymarine autopilot has an indicator on it that works well. Not sure if you have or want autopilot but thought I would throw that out there

I have a Raymarine ST60 Rudder Angle Display I installed back in 2004. It works flawlessly. I did have to make a bracket and connecting rod from the rudder tiller to Raymarine transducer but that is not a big deal. It set me back $400 but it works on a standalone basis (which is how I installed it) and will talk to other Raymarine products.
