Rough Idle 2007 Sea Ray 185 Sport (carb) 3.0L Merc

Hi All! First time posting. Have a problem when idling - needle will range from 1,000 down to 300-400 back and forth. Runs fine when throttling 5-30Mph etc. Only when idling does it stall and sound rough. Wondering if anyone has an idea what the problem could be. Another thing to note is that it usually starts fine when cold, however after some time out, I will have trouble getting her to start. So when its warm it can be difficult as well, but will eventually start.

• I plan to replace spark plugs this weekend. Really hoping this is the problem.

Has had fresh gas+seafoam each of last 3 weekends.
Recently switched out oil / lower unit etc

Dirty idle circuit in carb probably, do your fuel filters

Thank you sir. Is that something I can clean without having to remove the entire assembly from the engine?

My 2007 Larson 180 sport 3.0 did that tune up cap rotor plug wires and rebuilt the carb idled like butter

He's saying replace the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and spark plug wires

Thanks boater. I should have said complete tune does a lot when in or near water. Sorry
