Well so we're down to 8? I have a few more not listed here that have told me they'd be there.

Anyone else?

Have you heard from any drop-ins yet? I'm sure some may just stop for a short while.

Let get some pictures of that cove and stuff and build some excitement!!!

Hi J,

My slip neighbor (29' Maxum) wants to come. He's an "interested" MM customer...

I can't remember his boat name but his last name is Dobson - he'll have 2 adults and 2 teens...

To this list we can add 8 more boats but I don't have confirmation on 4 of these. So 16 total.

Somebody said the Bartow Gatewood Boat Ramp was a safe and secure place to use and leave our tow rig and trailer. Any body ever used it?

I am dual posting this because it is IMPORTANT. There has been some chatter about BUI. An attorney acquaintance of mine wrote an excellent update on Georgia BUI laws that everyone attending any Georgia raftup or other event should know.

The important thing to know is do not drink to excess...for many, that means not at all. For purely informational purposes...the Georgia threshold is .10 for over 21 year olds and .02 for under 21. Georgia law DOES require you to take an intoxilyzer (breath test) and DOES NOT require the officer to have probable cause on the water, however refusal DOESN'T affect your automobile driver's license. Refusal only results in suspension of your BOATING privileges. Take that for what its worth and make your own decisions as to your course of conduct and independently confirm the accuracy of this information...because you are NOT my client.

That was stupid...this was supposed to be dual posted in another forum...guess my BAC is over .10.

Thanks for the post. If you plan to drink make sure you have another capt'n on the boat who's not drinking. We will be a little closer to illinois creek (heavily patrolled cove) we could get a visit from DNR.

For any of you trailering your boat. Wilderness has a ramp and it is very short run to the raft up. At idle 3-5 minutes

I received an email today from Marine Max stating they would be ready on the 27th. Based on the roll call and some that I have spoken with, it looks like we may have 18 to 20 boats.

You never know with these things, we could have a bunch more or a lot less. Either way, for those of us that make it, it should be a lot of fun.

Hope to see y'all there.

Here is a link to the Corps lake map. We are planning on five fingers area. See #5 on the map "Wilderness Camp." Stay right as you pass wilderness camp and you'll see us.

Also make sure you pay attention to the no wake zones at wilderness. Here is a blurb from DNR's weekly report.

Department of Natural Resources
Wildlife Resources Division
Law Enforcement Section

Field Operations

Weekly Report
May 31- June 6, 2009
On June 6th, Sgt. Mike Barr and Cpl. Chip Cox were working a complaint of boats
running through the no wake zone at Wilderness Camp on Lake Allatoona. A cabin
cruiser came through the zone under full power. The boat was stopped and through
checking the operator’s safety equipment, Cpl. Cox noticed the operator was unsteady
and smelled of alcohol. The operator was given field exercises to determine his level of
intoxication. The operator was arrested for boating under the influence of alcohol and
transported to the Bartow County Jail.

If you don't mind driving a little further, you're welcome to leave your vehicle & trailer at our lake house. We're on the south end of the lake near location 34 on the map.

Thanks. I planing on using Bartow Gatewood Boat Ramp. From what I've heard from Davis & Drums it is a great ramp. I'm looking forward to seeing your new 340. Funny thing what got me started with SeaRay was the 340. We thought about getting an older one and keeping it on the TN river. Just could not give up trailering yet and could not afford 2 boat:smt089

Less than one week, but who's counting:thumbsup:
