It's almost as if Kyle Rittenhouse trained for this moment his whole life?
He went there under many pretenses but it's pretty easy to surmise he also went there with a very good possibility he was gonna get to "blow away some commies that are destroying America."
FYI, he didn't administer any first aid to anyone on that night but did lie and claim to be an EMT at some point so the "I'm there to give first aid" deal was cute but just another divert to the main reason he was there and that was the opportunity to shoot folks he considered the opposition. It is what it is and his mission was accomplished.
I have no idea how this will play out but it's been very interesting to watch. It will tell us a lot of what our future will hold.

Bull crap. He actaully retreated/ran from each encounter, almost like a coward. It wasn't until he was cornered or on the ground that he shot. If he really wanted to shoot someone, he would have taken up a position and started blasting away. Had the cops been allowed to do their job, none of this would have happened. It's almost as if Kyle Rittenhouse trained for this moment his whole life?

Golfman, I beg to differ with your statement/assumption. I truly believe that if the cops had their way they would have had as many LEO's there as possible and would have handled the situation much differently.Had the cops been allowed to do their job, none of this would have happened.

It's not the cops who failed during the (pick your city/date) riots, it was the city administration who had the cops stand down. If the cops on the street had the backing of their city "fathers" those riots we had across the country would have lasted about 2 hours. If that was the case and the cops started arresting the rioters I guaranfuckingtee you that the riots would have been over in a hurry.
Ya gotta have enough huevos to allow your cops to do their job and enough huevos to back them when the shit hits the fan.
I think that is what he was saying, the cops werent allowed to do their jobs. Their hands were tied by the powers that be for political reasons.Golfman, I beg to differ with your statement/assumption. That's why I used the pharse "if the cops where allowed."Golfman, I beg to differ with your statement/assumption. I truly believe that if the cops had their way they would have had as many LEO's there as possible and would have handled the situation much differently.

Exactly. "Allowed" is the operative term.I think that is what he was saying, the cops werent allowed to do their jobs. Their hands were tied by the powers that be for political reasons.
I heard the state was calling up the national guard for the expected "peaceful protests" that may result from the verdict of this trial, which is funny, if they would have done that during the riots, rittenhouse may not have felt the need to go there in the first place.
Unfortunately this is a prime example of how broken our government and justice system truly is. Why would we need to call the National Guard out for a peaceful protest? This country has become so polarized that "we the people" cannot demonstrate, congregate, assemble or protest without it morphing into something (____) lives matter, criminal, violent, or deadly.calling up the national guard for the expected "peaceful protests" that may result from the verdict of this trial

There will most assuredly be outrage over the outcome of this trial.
There seem to be a few unanswered questions I have with those that think Kyle should not have had an AR with him:
Did Kyle not have the right to be at that location helping with the injured and assisting the community instead of sitting back and watching innocent people caught in the rioting?
While at the location, given the situation going on around him, did Kyle have the right (and foresight) to possess the means to defend himself should he be threatened?
Regardless of the type of weapon used, did Kyle have the right to use whatever weapon he had to defend his life while being attacked?
Would it have made any difference if he had carried/used a handgun to protect himself instead of the rifle?
Do you think he should have carried a handgun (illegal because he's not 21) instead of the rifle (legal for his age), thereby ACTUALLY breaking the law?
It seems difficult for some to distinguish between having the right to do something vs making sound decisions.
You are within your rights to drink a fifth of vodka each morning, smoke 12 packs of sigs each afternoon. Just like Kyle was within his rights to carry that AR up to WI. I put both of those two examples into the same bucket of "lets go ahead and teach our kids to make better decisions than that". Your mileage may vary, however.
