Riding on Bow? Let's say for boats over 30 feet LOA or longer

The way I see it it's ok within reason. Yes I was wearing a life vest with anti-prop technology.

Great picture!! I don't think I'd let my admiral at the helm though, she's the benefactor of my will and insurance policies.:wow::wow:

BTW, this could be a great calendar picture. Make sure you submit it.

The big question is could you live with the results if on that one in a million chance you were WRONG.
I will always error on the side of safety, but that's just my take.[/QUOTE]

Obviously, if a tragic accident occurred, I would be devastated. However, its a dangerous world and I'm not willing to walk around everyday covered in bubble wrap and never have fun. You can still be safe while taking calculated risks. Certainly, I try to be safe and keep those around me safe. I do understand accidents certainly happen, and can happen to me as easy as they can you. I like to believe if I'm engaging in "risky" behavior, I'm a little more attentive, but you never know, as it can happen in a blink of an eye. I certainly don't judge anyone for prohibiting it, but for my boat, I feel the enjoyment for those catching rays at idle speed greatly outweighs the miniscule risk of disaster at idle speed.

OldSkool - Actually I cannot take credit for the photo.... I borrowed this one from Hampton's photolog of his 30 day cruise to Key West....

Truth be known it's probably much more dangerous to drive while using a cell phone. It's
all in how you look at it. If you'll accept the consequences then do it.
I just hope nothing goes wrong for any of us, what ever we are doing.

Stick a fork in this thread already.

As said in other threads nobody is holding a gun to your head to read this. :smt001
