Bravo III drives
So there I was, boat (2006 290 DA w/ twin 5.0 merc's, B-3 drives) full of friends and beautiful day. Smoothe ride all was fine. Nudged the sticks forward a bit and at about 2800 rpm noticed a vibration, and then at 2950 - 3000 no additional power. The lcd read out states "overspeed". Shut down the throttles and checked to see if I picked up crap around the wheels. No fishing line or weeds noted. Drives back down and restarted the twins. No problem. Back up to 2800 and same issue. Full start and we were fine. Up on plane, ran 10 miles w/o issue. Had to slow down as I approached the marina. Being the thick headed all american male, I made one final pass and was not able to break 2800 again :smt013 . Idle for 3-5 minutes, cursing of course, and back up on plane w/o issue. Any ideas? Wet wires? Loose connection, but both at the same time? Clogged fuel filter? Any suggestions would be appreciated. :huh:
