Nicky, with the custom tab you made, the Bennett retention device might not work for you. The slot length and overall length will be different than how you have mounted yours.

Is there a picture of Nicky's Trim Tabs I can take a look at? The way the retention device is made the travel length is determined by the installer and a hole is drilled into one side of it to establish that limit. So it can accommodate a certain range of length and travel.

Tom, I've given up on getting information on the retentiondevice. I used a piece of chain that runs from the angle piece that the actuator attaches to. The other end is attached to the extended swimplatform brace. I extended the the tab all the way down, then raised it slightly. That is where I fixed the tab to stop. I will tr to post picture.
