I just started using this stuff around the house. It is amazing! I am putting a roll in each car and on the boat. This stuff fixes almost anything that duct tape won't. Should have bought it years ago.

Blasphemous! Duct tape fixes everything! My grandfather told me "Son, all you need in life in any emergency is duct tape and wd40"

It's not cheap, but I got some for about half that price at the boat show last year.

Used to be true too, before Rescue Tape! In the Army, they call duct tape "100 mile per hour tape" cause it will fix anything that goes less than 100 mph...

I was hoping too see some at the St. Louis boat show for cheap, but no such luck. No dealers were at the show. I finally broke down and paid retail, but I got 3 rolls for the price of 2.

Same stuff at Home Depot-called "Stretch & Seal" Silicone Sealing Tape. Bought two rolls (1" x 10'), can't recall the exact price but I don't remember it being $12/roll.

Same here, bought it first time a few years ago at True Value hardware in the plumbing department. $3.99 per roll (black only). used it for a temporary natural gas line repair.

Yep,highslice, thats what we called it[100 mile an hour tape] great in the field and you could buy the cammo kind in the p.x.

I am going to order six rolls for the $44.95, why buy 2 for $24.95? I would just like to have about two rolls, but for around twenty dollars more I receeve an additional 4 rolls (?) so why not?

I saw Rescue Tape a couple of years ago at MAATS - Marine Aftermarket Accessory Trade Show. It is quite impressive. There are some others on the market that are knock offs and don't have the same specs as Rescue Tape.

If you don't want to purchase on line, I believe your local ACE Hardware store can get it through their warehouses.

Good stuff - I keep multiple rolls on the boat and in the truck.

That's why I went with the orginal rather than some of the cheaper knock offs, because they have lower specs. If a hose bursts or a belt breaks, I would hate to have to call Sea Tow because I saved $6 on tape. No offense to those who went that route.

Ummm...

Maybe some of them do. But the "cheap stuff" I bought at Home Depot for less $$ meets the exact same mil spec -and is the same 20 mil thickness- as the one and only "Rescue Tape"...

Beachcombersc, the gas to the burner in my Mom's home was leaking (pin hole). I shut it down used the tape and tested it with a electronic leak detector. worked fine and she had heat until the plumber showed up the following morning. our plumber turned me on to the tape.

I still remember Miss Bud getting put back together using duct tape! They USED to call it 100 mph tape, but this was on a turbine boat so they now call it 200 mph tape!! I don't want to admit my age, but you guys must be REALLY old to not know that!! And it was one of the first years they used turbines!
