Reputable Mechanic/Shop Near Pompano Beach , FL

My fellow South Floridians,
Has anybody had a great experience anywhere with a mechanic or shop in the Pompano Beach area?

I have a Marine Max up here, and while they are good at their jobs, I prefer a more personal involvement and relationship with the actual mechanic vs a service manager. Just a personal preference is all.

See if you can contact Robert Platt. My cousin uses him alot for his 280DA and now his new 320DA. He is the one that only charged me 140 to pull the outdrives and inspect the u joints and bellows. I will PM you his number if you are interested. However, I do not know if he will be able to travel up there.

He works down south near Cutler Ridge I believe. I will ask my cousin the name of the business but all I have right now is his cell number.

I use a good guy that works right near my house in Fort Lauderdale, Don Govan from Govan marine. He is old school, and very knowledgeable. PM me if you want his number..He did my last 100 hour service, and I had my boat at the marina he works out of last year so I could detail it.
