Replacing old stereo with a modern Bluetooth stereo. Need recommendations

Why do I need to see Album artwork when listening to music? For another $100? Alpine and Kenwood would be my first choices, not Boss, or Pioneer :)

I am playing devils advocate of course, but I hope you get my point. $400 for a "marine" radio that's installed in my cabin doesn't make a lot of sense to the average Joe boater IMO.

So your being a minimalist and you own a 380 Sea Ray diesel boat. Contradiction of terms right there. ... But obviously to make yourself feel better about spending so much for what you don't need.

But Fusion is more like $700 for the 770. Album art is only for SiriusXM and only shows up on the MFD's or ERX remotes. And needs additional network interfacing to get to work. Not a big deal, but hey wow factors cost $$$

Let's face it, it's a cool factor as is most of the stereo addon's like extra remotes and cell app's even wrist watch control of the head unit. All a few boat bucks when done.

For clarity, my comments were to help the average Joe, not about me personally. IMO, the average Joe boater doesn't need to spent $700 on a Fusion stereo simply because it's "marine" and has cool factors. I get frustrated when the advise (first) here to average Joe is "buy a Fusion or <insert name of other high end marine head units>". Average Joe and/or someone new to boating may think "oh, I have to have a "marine" head unit cuz these guys said so". No, you don't.

Not sure I agree with you on this. I get your point on posting this however. There really isn't an "Average Joe" on this board and is predominantly frequented by larger boaters. Most of the people seeking advice don't mind spending a little on their "way of life" boating life.

While I agree most don't have to go "over board" in the same manner some of us do. There really isn't much in the way of other companies offerings that make sense for a boat with a cabin or multiple zone issues.

And Fusion by the way has less expensive offerings that are really competitive. You should take a look at there website and look at the other head units available.

There is a very basic unit for only $200. I don't think that is expensive and possibly more in line with what your speaking too.
