Had a bit of a slick in the water when we launched this year and have finally tracked it down to the oil cooler. Raw water cooled boat, fresh water lake. Two questions:

Q: Any special sealer for the oil lines, or will a permatex thread sealer w/ blue threadlock suffice?

Q: Any advice for oil changes to get the milkshake out - or simply rinse/repeat as many times as needed?

Replace the oil cooler, sounds as if you have a split tube inside the cooler. MrCool has some of the best prices. Also replace the hoses and fittings. It’s just a good time to do that while working on the cooler.

The cream, is it in the bilge or in the motor?

Thanks for the Mr Cool info. Milkshake is in the engine - perhaps not bad though. Ive only put maybe an hour on the boat as I’ve been trying to figure out the issue. Dip stick looks fine - but the cooler and the lines feeding the cooler are frothy.
