Replacing Icemaker 2003 340

I have a 2003 340 and Im looking to replace the ice maker. My neighbors boat is a 2004 340 and he has a Norcold de0040 1.7 cu ft refrig which they do not make anymore. looking online it looks like the replacement I should use is a norcold NR740BB which is 2 cu ft and the same measurements as the DE0040. also did anyone run a DC cord to the fuse box and if so was it difficult to do and how did you run it. one last question can anyone advise the best place to buy Norcold refrigerators.

I replaced mine this season with the Norcold, sorry not sure of the model # right now, but very little trimming on the width. The height is substantially smaller so I put a grill on the bottom and painted it black , I capped the water supply to the ice machine and installed a 12vdc line with a breaker at the panel. The fridge has its own inline fuse. I got a great idea from another member here to change the grill to a drawer so I'm having one fabbed over the winter. Pretty straight forward install.

the draw sounds like a great idea but ill have just enough room to fit the fridge.
