I am replacing the cockpit fridge on my sea Ray 320. Currently, it is black. I want a stainless steel, but just want to make sure it will hold up cosmetically, compared to a black one. Anyone have experience with an outside stainless steel fridge, does it hold up cosmetically or dies it get rust etching? I store the boat in a dry stack, so low sun exposure for Florida.

I think the stainless will look great but be sure to clean it properly. I'd still like to find one with a clear door that's backlit like a wine fridge.

It'd be a bunch of work to get it to look right, but couldn't you do this with any fridge by simply cutting the center out of the door and replacing it with tempered glass? I would worry more that even a factory made one would have poor insulating qualities and need at least a fair amount of tint to keep heat out.

Todd;
My Cockpit refrig. was replaced when I bought the boat, but with the original black. Stainless would look neat. If it is truly stainless (not Stainless Paint) it should hold up.
By the way, do you have any idea when our boats will be moved back inside the building? Been sitting outside a couple of weeks now.
