Hello! We have a 1992 330 that we're doing quite a bit of work to this winter. We either need to purchase a mattress or reupholster the four original cushions. We'd much rather sleep on a one-piece mattress than multiple seams w/a pad. Challenge is I can not find replacement mattresses shaped like ours. What would you do? Or where would you go for a one-piece mattress? Ideas welcome. Thanks!

It will have to be custom made and can be very expensive. What we did is buy the 4” foam from the Foam factory in Troy MI. Bought a 3” topper from Costco and cut our own out using an electric knife and the old mattress as a template. It is without question my favorite bed

I have the same situation and the same boat , I plan to reupholster the 4 original pieces, then cut a 1 piece topper to size like blueone mentioned to lay over it. Then I can just roll up the topper when i want the original look, or need to access the AC. Ill be doing it soon and will have pics in my thread.

I you dont reuse the originals, you will need to make cover boards for the compartment openings, or use the originals with the old foam removed, to support the new pad.

If you get the foam locally and electric knife it, you will be in for less cost. Plus you can get the density of foam you want to suit you. There is places that I used to buy foam from all over the east coast.

From experience the topper is a pain in the ass…. It is heavy and it gets pissed off when you try and roll it…. It will fight back.
I glued the topper to the mattress and just fold it over to get access to AC hatch…. It still fights back but some weight will hold it down
Trust me when you put the memory foam down it’s staying there….

So then yours isn't upholstered? Original supports, foam (all one piece?), mattress pad, done? That'd be a hellova lot easier....especially being the bed is nearly always made. I am reupholstering everything else around it.

I'd love to see it!

My berth cushions get wet some im currently tracking down leaks before i put new fabric up there, I think the rubrail fix took care of most of it.

I guess thats why they call it "memory foam"...Im planning on 2" so Ill see how it behaves.

Rockford, MI. I assume you're not parking that 330 on the mighty Rogue? :)

I have twice bought foam from the folks below. They are on the east side of Michigan. The foam cuts very easily with a $15 electric turkey knife from Amazon. Get a king size and cut it down. A nice weekend project.

There are a handful of Rockford folk running around this site. Small world for sure.

Good luck with the mattress. Only 18 Saturdays 'till boating season!

For the 85" width, the CA King would be better, the prices on that site are good tho, Thanks!
