Replacing a butane cooktop with an electric one

GoodTimin here. We have a 260 Sundancer 04. We are looking at replacing the original Kenyon butane stove with an electric Kenyon. Is this possible? If so, what suggestions? The cutout for the electric is smaller than the butane:smt100

Wow...You don't like your butane? I had one in my prior boat (270 DA) and loved it. Easy to use and reliable. I have an electric/alchohol in my current and hate it.

Should have been a little clearer as to the type of cook top. It is a Ceramic Glass Cook Top that we are considering. I like the butane but it continues to leak even after repairs. Looking for a safer way to cook. This particular stove is electric only. The Butane cut out measurements are 13 1/4" x 13" and the Ceramic Glass Cook Top is 10 3/4" x 11 1/2" w/ 1/4" radius.

Does the cap that holds the butane can in place have the foam rubber pad inside of it? It should press the can down into the chute. What brand of butane canisters do you have?

Ours works fabulously. I wouldn't trade it for anything else...

It does have the seal. Had it inspected a second time, they tell us it is leaking around the regulator. I like cooking on the butane, but think the electric might me a safer stove. I do have a portable butane that has worked perfect for our backup. The canisters are by Kenyon.

Yeah, I have the butane too and it seems to work well.
If you want to make a bezel out of stainless I would think you can use that to mate the new burner to the old cutout. A local waterjet fabricator should be able to do it easily.
If you run into trouble getting it done, get dimensions and PM me. I have a fabricator that makes this stuff for me all the time.
