Replacement Zip sliders for sunbrella covers

I own a 2004 Sundancer in Perth West Australia.

It has always been stored under cover so camper covers are in good overall condition.. Unfortunately same cant be said for alloy zip sliders..I am trying to locate new ones but drawn a blank here in AUS. The standard 10 size are too large at the rear, hence the zip wont close up.. My local Searay dealer could only suugest replacing all of the zips! Please tell me someone has come across the same issue and located where these sliders can be bought.

Contact Great Lakes Canvas out of TN... They the original and have the zip sliders. They are a CSR sponsor, and you can get a discount if you say you are a CSR memeber...

Zipper manufacturers usually have sliders available for their products. Try emailing Sea Ray Customer service and explain that you are in Australia and that you cannot find replacement sliders there and that your dealer cannot get them for you. Ask them to give you contact info for the canvas maker who makes the canvas package for your model boat. Then call or email them to request sliders. My guess is they won't fool with billing you and will just send you a hand full.

i got some stuff for our boat from great lakes there in Tennessee and apparently failed to get the good buddy rate.

what you need is a #8 zipper. we bought a bunch of these and they were available in black not like the white ones we got form great lakes. they inter changed flawlessly with the one from great lakes. you can get just the slides if you shop around the sight. in our case we needed the complete zipper, as the zipper teeth were sun damaged and pulling out. if you get the complete zipper make sure you get separating zippers.
every one tells us the black will stand up to sun better. dont know if thats true or not but now have some of both colors and will know in a year or two

Thanks heaps guys, I tracked down some just where you suggested? Wish I had of found this site earlier, would have saved hours of web browsing ! Off boating now as we are just breaing into spring.. Not that it is ever cold in Perth anyway!!
