Does anyone know where I can get a replacement sealed beam for my Guest Spot/Flood Light? I have tried several possible sources in New Zealand, including marine and automotive dealers but so far no luck. The Sea Ray agency here in New Zealand pretty well doesn't have any spare parts back up.

The 2005 Sea Ray Amberjack Parts Manual describes the unit as

Part No: 1754590 Spotlight 5" SS Guest (Spotlight 5" Remote controlled) and further desribes the sealed beam replacement as:

Part No: 1759435 Bulb, Repl for 1754590 Spotlight.

Thanks in advance.

Terry,

I believe the problem is the part numbers you are using. Sometime ago Guest was acquired by Jabsco and all the part numbers changed. The way I decode them is to find the Jabsco spotlight that is an identical match to the Guest and then pull it's internal part numbers.

The best prices I have found for Guest/Jabsco parts is: http://www.go2marine.com/docs/mfr/jabsco/jabsco_lights-mit.shtml

They have parts to rebuild any Guest spotlight.

If you use the new Jabsco numbers, you may be able to find it locally.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I didn't realise Guest was now under Jabsco's wings but it does explain why I have seen Jabsco SS spotlights that look awfully like the Guest one I have on my boat! Anyway, I have contacted a local marine dealer in New Zealand who deals in Jabsco spot lights and he seems pretty confident he can supply my particular lense. It's also good to know a few suppliers in the US who can help out if my local supplier finds he doesn't have the part. Thanks again guys.:smt038

Hey thanks Pete. No need for my knight in shining (stainless steel) armour to come to the rescue this time. I found a marine dealer who stocked the part and he fast posted it to me today. But thanks again for offering to help out. I definately owe you a few beers if you ever get down this way.:smt038 Take care mate.

Interesting link thanks Pete. I understand there have been a few 'flash mob' hakas around the world recently and in this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmSNN7vZt_o&feature=related the cop got reprimanded by his boss for joining in! And, here's another one in New York where the mob forgot to tun up (loser:lol:) and the police took a dim view of proceedings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWtiYmQQYCM

Pepper spraying flash mobs is not entirely unheard of but it is definately over the top.

By the way I have now sorted out my inbox. Thanks Pete.
