I have a 2007 185 sport and my fuel gauge has cracked and I'm trying to source a replacement. It's a teleflex brand, but I'm not seeing anything on the teleflex website that looks to be an identical replacement. I was hoping to just buy a new teleflex gauge from a marine supply house. Does anyone know what style of teleflex guage this would be? Was it produced specifically for SeaRay, which means I should just order it from the dealer? Thanks.

I think those gauges are custom made for sea ray. You might find something that fits but if you want it to match you should bite the bullet and get it from your dealer.

So, I have the same problem (because I'm an idiot, but that's another story for another time).

Summary:
- Teleflex sold their gauge business to VeeThree Instruments (www.v3instruments.com). Most Teleflex employees went with the gauges.
- They won't make you a custom Sea Ray gauge, and most of them are. As an example, the gauges for my 180SP are the same as their Driftwood line, only with a chrome bezel. They won't make me one with the custom bezel.
- Dealer claims they'll see if Sea Ray corporate would get one commissioned. No word yet.

I'd say find one as close as you can, or see if you can talk VeeThree into a custom gauge build for you.

Good luck!

Might not have to bite as big of a bullet as you might think... this is what my online parts inventory/catalog says:

Part Number: 1727021
Description: GAUGE, FUEL 2" 5 SERIES SS BEZ
Retail Price: $22.00

Dennis:
Not sure if you're responding to the OP or not. The parts manual I have shows a part # of 1099985...

Local Dealer says that this part # is "out of stock" - if you think it's the right one, I'd rather buy stuff from you.

Thanks for all the replies. I did call the dealer today to inquire about the replacement gauge and sure enough. It's in stock in Tennesee and should be at the dealer by the end of the week for a price of $22. On a side note, the reason I initially wanted to avoid the dealer was due to bad service i've had in the past with their parts counter. This time I talked to someone new, so maybe things have changed for the better.

WazzuCMGrad: The gauge i'm replacing on my '07 model sounds very similar to yours. I was also thinking the Driftwood series was the closest match, but the black bezel just didn't sound right, which led me to post here in the first place.

I'll update when/if I have the part in hand. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry for hijacking your thread. Hope the information was helpful. Dennis is great.

Update: As stated already, I called the dealer on Monday the 4th, was told the part should be at the dealer by Thursday of the same week and they would call me when the part arrived. After not hearing from the dealer, I called the following Wednesday and the part was in. Wife stopped by and picked it up and it was a perfect match. Same part number and price that Dennis had posted. So again, not so reliable service from the part counter as far as the follow up call, but glad to have the replacement gauge in hand. All is good.
