Replacement cockpit table for 260da?

I have a '04 260da, and I don't like the cockpit table - the white plastic round one. It looks too cheap, and the shape prevents any easy travel from the port aft entry to the center of the cockpit.

I'd like to upgrade to a rectangular table made out of a nicer material - maybe teak?

Are there any replacement tables available?

if not, I may have a carpenter make one, and just reuse the clamp hardware from the bottom of the white plastic table top.

I just made one for my 268DA. It is just a "temp" table until I have the time to make a nicer one this winter.

I just took a piece of that laminated pine shelving you can find at your fave lumber store, cut it to size, routered the edges to get the rounded corners I wanted, stained, then several coats of polyurathane.

I'll take some pics when I get back to the boat.

I will be re1doing, in Iroko again probably, the whole project in the winter when I have enough time to do it right.

Easy enough to do by yourself. If you have a jigsaw, router and sander. If not, find a buddy who does, and pick up beer on the way over! :thumbsup:

Once it is shaped, it is just a matter of Varathane, wait, sand, repeat....over and over again.
