The boat is a 1999 340 Sundancer. I'm removing my arch pads this weekend and while I have them off I'd like to replace the clips. Does anyone know where to get them? Any other tricks or suggestions? The reason I'm removing them is because the port side is slightly pulling away from the arch / caulk. Rather than gobbing more caulk on, I'd like to fix the issue and get it to sit flat, which I'm certain will involve those clips.

After some searching, it looks like these may be correct. Can anyone confirm that?

Those should be the ones. Had to do add some to my arch pads last year. If you dont need too many you can ask your local canvas shop if you can buy clips from them. They'll probably jusy give them to you since they probably get them for pennies. How do plan on bending the pad back so it sits flush?

I'm not really sure yet. I haven't pulled it off. I'm hoping the clips are damaged and keeping it from seating fully, but that's probably a bit optimistic. If it's deformed I'll have to evaluate it and either straighten it or replace the backer board. I assume it's wood. It doesn't feel like the backer material is rotten.

Mine was a combination of broken Christmas trees and warped backing material. The backing material is a starboard/plastic material with holes drilled into the back where the trees go. The trees were inserted into the backer then stapled along the rounded edge to keep from pulling out. I just changed trees and lived with warp for now. Just calked it well.

So I have ceiling panels in the salon that have come loose. Is there a good instruction video somewhere that shows how to remove replace the Christmas tree fastners?

With slightly warped starboard/UHMW, I have used a little heat from a hair dryer or heat gun to get the warp out.
If you are sure you have the christmas tree clips, simply pry or pull the part off......just make sure they are not screws....
