Replace cockpit bulbs with LED

This is a little late but! I replaced lower level cockpit lights with cheapest blue ones I could find (thinking $2/) and the overhead ones with bright white ones (<$2/). A couple of things I learned about led's. Hard to figure brightness-the higher the equivalent wattage the brighter. If you must have dim able lights you must really pay attention to the specs. if they do not state dim able they most likely will not or they will hum. I think ??) 12v dc source power is less susceptible to this problem than inverted power source. Lastly is color 3000K(some kelvin temperature scale) will be yellow like incandescent, then there are some that are in the range of 3500K-5000K, not sure what the color is and lastly you have 6000K which tend to look the brightest and have the blueish hue to them. Thats my 2 cents on this subject
