replace clarion xmd3

Swapped with a PYLE head unit since it had the AUX port that I needed (ant not a whole bunch of expensive stuff that I dont need).

It may be a little late  but the Clarion XMD3 does have an aux in -- but it's on the back on the head unit. I ran a line from there up to the helm where I've got an AUX IN (single 1/8") where I normally have my SXM plugged in but I can also plug in the phone or tablet.

At the helm, next to the USBs

For the life of me I can remember which wires they were, but my head unit had at least 3 RCA wires that were capped and un-used, for the subwoofer option I don't have and also for the AUX IN. They are color-coded and match the wiring diagram I found for the XMD3

I used those with my XMD3. Had no intention of replacing that unit if I thought it still worked. In any case put a new PYLE unit in since i thought the XMD3 went bad.

I have 14.4 volts at the battery and my test light (shows power) on both the red and yellow wires. Still no radio? I am going to go down again this morning with a multimeter and see how what those wires are actually reading?
