I recently bought a 176 Sea Ray and this word is painted on the inside of the boat. I checked carefully and it isn't a wrap it's individually painted letters. I'm looking for a way to remove the painted letters without ruining the finish. Are there any paint experts here ?

Gel is very resistant to chemicals. Oven cleaner should soften it - as well as mineral spirits or acetone. Best to saturate a rag and let it sit. Downside to acetone is it evaporates quickly.

Lazy Daze, I discovered that it wasn't paint, but a decal. I sprayed it with WD40, let it set then used a razor blade to remove it. Thanks for your response.
