Forgive me,I posted about this a week or 2 ago and coudnt find it for the life of me.
But just had a few questions about what to expect if I try to do this. First off ,I read a few different places and seen both answers but I was told do Not shift the gear in forward to remove the B3 drive you leave it in neautral,True-False?
So next step they say B3 is Very Heavy and should not try to take it off even with a buddy. They said use a engine lifter and there is a hole on the outdrive where you can clip something on it and lift it with a cable or something. Is this what I should do,or do you think me and my friend can lift it and just prop it up on something to keep it upright. Any harm if I just lay it on its side in my garage on a blanket or something?
My next question is when I pull this, the drive shaft should just pull right out and I can work on the Ujoint from there. But replacing the gimbal bearing am I going to be able to get to it with just the outdrive removed, Or is the Gimbal Ring and bellows going to have to be removed also?
I tried looking Youtube and seen a few vids but they were doing bellows and already had it tore down all the way,I wasnt sure if you actually needed to do all that just for the bearing?
