I'm looking at removing the head from my boat. It's a Porta Pottie size/design with a pump out and macerator. We can't use the mascerator on our lake and it's not worth the hassle to try to use the potty anyway...there's always a marina within' 10 minutes and no pump out to worry with.

Anyway, I have some concerns about plugging the through hull pump out hole from the mascerator. I'm wondering if there's a good way to plug the hose or cap off the through hull fitting?

My boat has an unused thru hull for a generator. SeaRay plugged the threaded thru hull with what looks like a bronze pipe cap. Its going to depend on what you have as a thru hull fitting.

Think resale! When you sell it, the next owner may WANT all of those features that you are unable to use or don't need now.

I hadn't thought about resale...I think I'll just re-plumb it and make sure it's in working order but not use it.

Good thought!!!
