remove starter motor 5.7l v8 bravo

hi there,

could anyone give me a heads up on how to remove the starter motor from a 1995 250DA with a 5.7l v8 bravo engine, also any advise on what checks to do, basically engine will not crank, and my batteries are fully charged, it seems I'm not even getting the click from the solenoid but I do have 12.7 volts at the solenoid terminal.

any info greatly appreciated.

Shifter in Neutral ? Battery terminals clean? All cables to ground clean? Battery draw tested <<<<first and than follow up with a volt meter. I would do that before I took the starter out.

I'd start with the throttles for sure. They can be finicky. Wiggle them a bunch to be sure you are in neutral. It seems silly but anyone with any older boats knows it.
