I have a 1999 Sea Ray 180 outboard. Under the port cushion in the back, there is a small cooler/ice-chest built into the base of the bench (see picture). Has anyone removed this cooler, leaving just the bench like is on the starboard side?
I'd rather have the extra storage space. Plus, the water doesn't drain too well out of this because the drain tube is just a little bit above the bottom. If I ever needed a cooler on board, I'd probably just pack one at home and bring it with me.
