Does anyone have this?

I have been reading some good reviews, and the wireless technology has gotten fairly bullet proof in the past few years.

One of the members (who has a 650 Fly) that posted recently I think mentioned that he had one on his boat. That's the only reference I can remember.

I can't speak to them personally, but there are two Carver owners in our area that I've seen use them with impressive results. One guy can single-hand a 50ft+ Carver controlling both throttles and his thruster. He single-handedly slides into his slip without any assistance in most weather conditions (he wears the controller around his neck with a large lanyard). And my winter storage facility runs their TravelLift with a wireless controller and claims to have never experienced a wireless breakdown.

The member here who uses it is Sea Gull. If the photo is of the Yacht Controller hand held it is the same unit Sea Gull has had on his last 2 boats. He is pretty sold on it as of the last time I spoke to him, but you can PM him for his opinion. You will find him very experienced and down to earth.

Had the YC installed last month. The radar/gps was interfering with the wifi signal a bit, but it appears to be my system in particular. The tech dropped in a different MDF and that resolved it. I have to turn off my MDF to use the YC, but when docking I don’t need it anyway. For single handling, which I do a lot, it has worked out well.

I also have the YC never use it except to adjust lines or play with it.now at the end of the season I lost the use of the stern thruster on it. Need to trouble shoot it in the spring.
