Need some help...
Having trouble with my V-berth actuator.
Took everything apart, and narrowed it down.
The berth reclines and sits up with a motor, that is controlled by a wired control panel.
Left button raises the bed, and the Right reclines. Motor turns a screw rod, but like a garage door opener.
When I press the Right button, the motor spins the gear- lowers the head of the berth.
When I press the Left button, not much happens.
It will occasionally move the gear one notch at a time, but not enough to even budge the screw rod. In fact, I only know it will move when it is taken apart and the gear is not engaged.
Does anyone have any insight as to whether this is a switch problem, or a motor problem.
Strangely, the right button- the one that functions, moves the gear clockwise.
But the left button- although moving it one notch at a time, also moves it in the same clockwise direction. Should this be the case? Intuitively, should it not move it in the opposite direction?
I am as confused as the above explanation likely is.....
But any help would be appreciated.
