Remote oil cooler leak

The oil line that comes from my remote oil filter and connects to the oil cooler leaks around the threads. Is there some kind of thread sealer that can be used to fix the problem?

Teflon tape ? does it leak at the oil cooler end, or the oil filter pad side ? Keep in mind that the oil cooler is a small radiator: I have seen winterization jobs done where this was not properly drained or antifreeze sucked into the cooler, and caused freeze damage to the cooler.
