Refrigerator Replacement

I bought the Vitrifrigo. We really like it. Yes, slightly smaller on the outsides but some strips of wood then the flange and it looks great. Works great as well. As for installation. We had to remove the cabin sliding door. Remove the fridge from the built in cabinet. Remove the cabinet. If I remember correctly there are three to four screws in the floor and two or three in each side. That is what I had to do to get it into my cabin.

Now we are getting to the nitty gritty of the whole thing. Just putting a calibrated eye ball on this mess and there ain't no way to get an intact refrigerator into the cabin. I am unfamiliar with the entry way on the 400EC. The DA has a small swing door and then an over head slide dea; it's the refrigerator inclosure that poses the main obstruction. Kind of sticks out right where the new unit would have to slide in to the salon. So you got all that cabinetry off and then back on; Cool. Man; that is at least a double-plus margarita Sunday job for me. Thanks for the intel.

Ron,
I had some very good help with mine. I have the sliding door type that had to come out. Had it not been for one of my marina buddies I would not know how to take the door off and put it back. We started at 6pm and finished around 12:30 am. Had we known about the slide door needing to come out. The cabinet need to be removed just to get the fridge in and out then I think two to three hours max.

It will be a while before I get to it. Headed back to the sand box in a few hours. I am trying to set things up so I can maximize the busy/required maintenance when I get back state side.

Thanks for the info on you refrigerator project. Let's me know there is a way. I will get Sea Ray to send me plans on how they bolted my Dancer together. Might give a little insight on what I need to disassemble to get this done.

Sorry to hear about the sand box issue. Been there and done that. Now I am playing a support role.

See you when you get back - Be Safe.

I would be interested in what you receive from Sea Ray as I would like to order a copy myself

I installed the Nova Kool 3 weeks ago. So far it is very quiet and working well. I love the refrigerator being on top with the freezer below.
