My refer in my 400db died just before the weekend. It was working perfect and then boom. Green light comes on and off but I don't hear anything cycling when I adjust thermostat. Is there anything obvious to check before I just throw in towel. I do not want to call a shop for service because 2 seasons ago I spent over 500 in another searay for the guy to tell me he could not fix a leak. I still had to go out and spend 1000 more on a vitrigo to replace.
So if there is not an obvious fix to look at I will just start shopping for new unit.
Thanks, ya'll have always had the answers.

I have a Norcold in the cockpit of a new to me 330DA that's not working and I'm not even getting a green light although I have power to the unit. I did a quick search and found a trouble shooting chart that seams pretty simple to work through and find the problem. First test I'm going to do is on the compressor to see if it's bad. If it is I'll toss the whole fridge in the trash but if the compressor is good it won't be difficult or expensive to replace any of the other components it might need.

I had to replace mine this spring. It would have cost almost as much to repair it, as to replace it. My suggestion is to pay the extra money on the Vitrifrigo. That extra cubic foot is amazing. It slides right in. Here is the model I got. I didn't care about stainless steel. The only down side is flipping the doors. It's a pain in the ass. You have to flip them before you install it (on the back deck).

Well my fridge is probably a bit smaller in the 370. But mine went and attempting to fix something 20 years old didn't make sense.

I bought a Nova Kool. Small I six but .6 cu ft bigger inside. Plus... NO issues getting it through the companionway!

I have a 1988 300 weekender. Fridge wouldn't cool on DC. Pulled fridge out enough to check volts when running 6.8VDC when running. Checked VDC AT CIRCUIT breaker, 12VDC input, 6.8VDC output, CB bad. Replaced breaker ops co good.
