Rear seal cost?

I have a 1989 340sd and it is leaking oil in the rear of the port engine 454's. I would beleive that it is the rear seal. What is the going price on replacing the seal?:huh:

Any chance it is not the rear seal? If it is, there should be oil inside the bell housing. If you have not done so already, pull out the rubber inspection plug on the top of the housing. If it is dry you need to look elsewhere for the leak.

As for the cost, I would do it myself. Case of beer, lots of ibuprofen, cussing, bandaids, $1.89 seal etc.
