Ready for some football

For starters I thought most of the commercials were sub-par. A couple of decent ones. The halftime show sucked for me. Had no idea who most of them were and have only ever heard of 1 song that was played. Definitely not targeting the older male demographic.
As far as Kelce, well he has to realize that like it or not he has about a few million more eyes on him and looking up to him. That wasn't a very responsible thing to do. You knew your relationship would be likely the highest profile topic in this country. If you weren't up to that responsibility well then...

I didn't really care who won but after that Kelce incident I was pulling for the 49ers

LOL…… I think Sea Ray didn’t make boats because they loved making boats ….. they made boats so they would break and I would pay for it for the rest of my life….. conspiracy theories… love them hate them
 
So surprise to me I walked in the bar today for lunch…. And was handed an envelope with $125 in it…. Supposedly some reverse thing in squares I knew nothing about….. Go Taylor !!! :)

Are you kidding me….. Reid benched him and Kelce got pissed. And rightly so…. I think Reid just wanted to fire him up….. they both genuinely love each other….. Reid even joked about it later.
That made you root for California ????…… I’m going to have to reevaluate our friendship :)

This. Anyone making a big deal about the Kelce/Reid thing doesn't understand their relationship. I refuse to root for anything California in any way. But I am a Chief's fan. The first half, and especially the halftime show, sucked big time. But the ending was worth the wait.

What's in it for Swift? If you haven't noticed, her Eras tour will gross over $1B before it's over. Not sure a few million is motivation for her.

There is never enough exposure for the public figures. Like Trump said on a talk show I watched well before his political phase of life - “I want everyone talking about me all day every day”.

She is a lib, so anything is possible. But I just don't buy it. There are way easier ways for her to get buzz than flying half way around the world to be at a football game for a few million dollars. Either way, it doesn't matter to me.

My son lives in KC. One of his friends has a 2nd story loft downtown right at the beginning of the parade route. Last year he and his wife went to watch the parade and they will do the same this year. The vantage point is so good that one of the local stations filmed the parade from their balcony. Last year Mahomes threw them a football.

Believe it, Bank it. His money is chump change to her. Its a way to keep her in the press. I would bet when NFL quiet’s down to nothing in the offseason, she be banging some baseball player as summer ramps up.

I think that 37 states rooting for the Niners vs only 13 for the Chiefs is a little shocking. Is this the Taylor effect?
The bar we watched at last night was clearly mostly “who cares“ fans, most left at the end of half time and we are in the Tampa Bay Area right now, so it figures, but every time she was shown the boos rang out.
It’s not up to her how often the production guy out in the truck tells the camera to hit her box, but apparently some think it’s her being all about herself. I think it’s the NFL and the media milking it for every penny they can get.
One guy at the bar said the way the media was tracking her private jet across the Pacific from Japan trying to hurry to the game, and would she make it, was nauseating and reminded him of Christmas fables of norad tracking Santa Claus :)

Saw 5 minutes of halftime. Two of the people that were watching with me are in their late 20s. They thought the show was so so. I walked as soon as I saw some guy take his shirt off

The girl has probably been to 10 of Taylor Swift’s concerts. Me, I never knew her face until the last week. Didn’t know usher either.

I hate California as much as you do but I also hate Taylor Swift and that vax mongoring boyfriend of hers so I was stuck between a rock and a hard place but seeing Kelce acting out like that sent me over the edge. Maybe cause I have seen too much of it here in Pittsburgh with AB, Bell and Tomlin.

Back in our college days and after we used to have Super Bowl parties. I remember one year it was so cold out that we had to keep our cars running the whole time and the keg of beer froze while it was outside.

Now one of my friends from that time, his kids Have a Super Bowl party at The District Tap’s VIP room. I’m not a big football fan but I do go for the first half and then head home.
